Challenge: Merit Industries required a complete redesign of an outdated game console. The goal was to create a modern, cost-effective unit featuring a captivating LED light show and ergonomic construction. The final product had to be vandal-proof for public environments while meeting an aggressive production timeline that reduced costs compared to existing models.
Solution: Vertex reimagined the Megatouch Aurora by utilizing an injection-molded exterior cover supported by a robust aluminum mounting structure. We integrated a 19-inch touch screen along with secure cash and credit card processing modules. This Industrial Design focused on durability and ease of maintenance to ensure seamless operation in high-traffic areas.
Outcome: The redesigned Megatouch Aurora delivered a visually stunning, user-friendly gaming experience with significantly enhanced durability.
