Product Specification

Product Specification is the critical first step to defining project success. We focus on: Defining project goals and market challenges. Outlining technical requirements. Identifying key performance indicators (KPIs). Establishing a clear scope before design begins.

Conceptual Development

Conceptual Development involves industrial designers generating preliminary design solutions. Key deliverables include: Line and thumbnail concept drawings. Exploration of aesthetics and ergonomics. Initial assessment of production feasibility. Refining concepts based on client feedback.

Engineering & CAD Development

Engineering & CAD Development transitions concepts into detailed, workable designs. This phase includes: Full 3D CAD modeling and rendering. Mechanical and electrical engineering analysis. Material selection and stress testing. Creating a validated digital design for prototyping.

Functional Prototype

Functional Prototype fabrication creates a working model for testing and validation. This involves: Fabrication of a pre-production prototype in our model making shop. Facilitating rigorous testing and evaluation. Verifying function, fit, and assembly. Refining the design based on prototype performance.

Engineering Documentation

Engineering Documentation finalizes the design for manufacturing. Deliverables include: Refining the 3D database and CAD files. Creation of detailed 2D production drawings (ANSI standards). Creating a comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM). Generating a complete data package for manufacturers.

Vendor Liaison

Vendor Liaison provides the link between design and production. This service involves: Identifying and vetting suitable manufacturing vendors. Managing direct communication with manufacturers. Negotiating and reviewing production quotes. Acting as the client's production knowledge expert to ensure a smooth transition.
